Passes in Ladakh :
In ancient era, these high altitude passes were used as the main business paths of the South – Asian countries. Once upon a time, these passes were the means of connectivity of the Indian subcontinent like – Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Generally, the passes were used to trade silk, spices and other goods. Currently, these passes have huge military significant as a way of supply for many military amenities for example – food, petroleum and bullets. These Himalayan mountain passes play a major role in the development of the tourism as some of the popular hill station areas – Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Ladakh, sikkim, are approachable through these high mountain passes. Not all far above the ground mountain passes are easy to get for regular travellers because of unfavourable climate status.
